Coton lovers against AKC recognition
~let your voice be heard ~
There are five National Coton Clubs in the U.S. They are all unique and provide a needed balance for dealing with issues concerning the breed. Many Coton owners belong to several of the clubs. One club has announced its decision to pursue AKC recognition. There seems to be a widespread decline in the health of breeds which become AKC recognized. Many Coton lovers do not want to support and promote an organization which actively supports and legitimizes puppymills and pet shop puppies from which much of their revenue is said to derive. Please join the Coton Community in this protest Against AKC recognition for our beloved breed.
The Coton de Tulear breed is a relatively healthy rare breed that we all love and want to preserve it's amazing qualities by keeping the Coton de Tulear breed out of AKC. It is known that once a healthy breed is accepted by AKC, the breed's health decline.
We urge you to please call, email, write letters to AKC expressing your objections for AKC recognition of the Coton breed.
Please join us in our passionate drive to keep Cotons safe, healthy, and away from the certain irrevocable fate that follows recognition by the huge multi million dollar money making machine called AKC.
